Crossroad Writers

When: Monday nights from six 6-9

Where: New Haven United Methodist Church at 56th and New Haven, Tulsa. (Use the South entrance and follow the signs.)

This group meets to listen to fiction works in progress and critique them.  It is recommended that people bring 5 or so copies of their 10-page manuscript to pass out, so that others can read along and mark grammar or other issues

Fellowship of Christian Writers

Where: Kirk of the Hills Church in Tulsa.

Their groups goal is to equip and encourage writers to follow their God-given dreams of setting words to paper. Whether writing for the religious or secular market; writing articles or novels; or writing news, features, devotionals, poetry, scripts, and essays, writers have a special calling to deliver well-crafted words to their readers.

Where: Martin Regional Library in Tulsa. Meets every other Tuesday @ 6:30pm

This group is dedicated to genre fiction writers. Members meet to improve craft, share work, and provide support and inspiration. Sharing news of the publishing world as well as links and other valuable information is encouraged. All forms of writing accepted from poetry to prose.  Bring something to read, if available, or just come prepared to offer your critique. They read for 10 minutes, then have 10 minutes of critique time. We usually meet in the Conference room, and there will be a sign out front of the room we're in.

This non-profit organization is the only professional organization specifically for people writing and illustrating for children and young adults in children's literature, magazines, film, television, and multimedia. We provide education, support, awards, grants, programs, and events. Membership is open to anyone with an active interest in children's literature from picture books to young adult novels. We welcome aspiring and published writers and illustrators, librarians, educators, artists, students, dramatists, musicians, filmmakers, and others.

We are a chapter of American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW), based in Edmond/Oklahoma City, OK.
